How long does ketamine take to work?
Ketamine is effective in about 80% of patients who are treated for mental health disorders. Some patients feel better after the first infusion. Most patients see improvements after 2-3 treatments. Other times, it may take more.

Relief for patients that are being treated for chronic pain does not occur as quick. For some, relief does not come until a couple of weeks later.
Can I get addicted to ketamine?
There are no reports of patients developing addiction except for people that abuse it in large amounts and without medical supervision.
